e-Transfer Help

General
Interac e-Transfer is a convenient way to send, request and receive money directly from one bank account to another. All you need is access to online or mobile banking through a participating financial institution, and you can send or request money to anyone with an email address and a bank account in Canada — without sharing any personal financial information. 1. Log in to your online banking
2. Add a new e-Transfer recpient using the information provided to you.
Note: Don't send e-Transfers through a phone number.
3. Select the recipient that was just added and use the provided question and answer.
4. Verify that all the information that was provided to you matches what you entered when adding the recipient.
5. Send a specified amount:
  • If you're buying online payment vouchers or eGift cards make sure the amount you send matches the amount selected on the checkout page.
  • If you're loading your Canada Post Visa card or Mastercard Cash Passport card, you can send any amount as long as it falls within your TopMeUp Limit

Repeating Orders and Loads
Your bank security question and answer, and amount uniquely represent your order.
To repeat the same order again you can send another e-Transfer to the same recipient with the same security question and answer, and amount.
We will deliver another order with new vouchers in the same quantity and denominations as the first order.
Note: If the question, answer, or amount does not match the previous order, your payment will be declined.
